THERE IS GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS
“Every word we speak was taught to us by God's Spirit, not by human wisdom. And this same Spirit helps us teach spiritual things to spiritual people. This is why only someone who has God's Spirit can understand spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit thinks these blessings are foolish. People who are guided by the Spirit can make all kinds of judgments, but they cannot be judged by others.”
1 Corinthians 2: 13-14
If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, the secrets pertaining to the kingdom of God are hidden from you by God on purpose. That is why you may feel that you are driving blind in the dark. You need to hear a word from the Lord to direct you in these dangerous and trying times. There is bad news for those who are in the dark because of their unbelief. The bad news is that you will remain clueless until you humble yourself, confess your sins, repent and accept Jesus into your heart. You cannot see or hear the good news of the gospel, because God’s good news is hidden from you.
However, there is good news also! You can become a follower of Jesus Christ today. You can become a child of God right now! Hallelujah! If you invite Him into your heart, the promises of God’s coming kingdom will charge you up. You will have everything to look forward to in the world that is soon to come. This world is fallen apart by the seams, but the coming kingdom and the kingdom secrets reveal that God always had a plan. Jesus is the answer! The darker it gets the brighter Jesus the morning star will shine when he appears. That’s Jesus! All the bad things that are happening today is just a sign that our redemption is just around the corner. Soon and very soon we will see the King!
Questions: Are you driving in the dark? Can you see where you are eventually going? Have you humbled yourself, confessed your sins, and accepted Jesus into your heart? What are you waiting for? I the promise of the future coming kingdom of Christ bad news or good news for you? And why?
Prayer: I bless the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ. Help me to confess my sins, repent and ask you to forgive me. I ask you Lord to fix my heart today so that I will believe. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
