COME UP HERE

“Do not be worried and upset,” Jesus told them. “Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house, and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so. And after I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that you will be where I am. You know the way that leads to the place where I am going.” John 14: 1-4

The interlude, in Rev. 4:1, is all about the end of the world and the salvation of the righteous.  It is about the rapture. In this verse, John saw Heaven’s door open up, and Jesus’ thundering trumpet voice, saying to the church, “Come up here.” Jesus was telling His saints to come up to live with Him in their heavenly home that He has prepared for them. Hallelujah! Jesus first came down to earth to meet us in our need to die for our sins. When the rapture happens, we are going up to be where He is. Then, we will be changed to be like Him in His perfect state. We will live with Him forever in His Father’s house, just like He promised.

Jesus is coming in the clouds and He is coming soon. One of these days, some will look around and not see the church. The church will not be here on earth. Please do not miss His trumpet call.  When He comes, everyone will see Him. The dead in Christ will rise and be given a new glorified body. Believers, who are alive, will rise and receive transformed bodies as well. We will experience no more sickness. There will be no more pain. There will not even be a need to eat. All the pain and suffering that we experience down here, will be remember no more. We will have glorified bodies. We will be changed in a twinkle of an eye. Is not God good? In Revelation, the curtain was pulled back and John saw Jesus running the world on His throne. The message was that Jesus will be coming soon. Blessed are those who hear his message.

Questions: What are some things on this earth that you will not miss the most?

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we do not want to miss Jesus’ trumpet call. We know that Jesus is away preparing us a place in Your house. What a day that is going to be. We ask that You help us get prepared, as we wait on our Savior. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
