GOD’S SECRET PLAN OF SALVATION
“God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.”
John 3:16
“God's plan was to make me a servant of his church and to send me to preach his complete message to you. For ages and ages this message was kept secret from everyone, but now it has been explained to God's people. God did this because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and glorious mystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is your hope of sharing in God's glory.”
Colossians 1:25-27
According to God’s prophetic calendar we are living in the “Church Age.” This time in human history between the Resurrection and the Rapture is all about the divine secret program to save the whole world through faith in God’s Son Jesus Christ. You see, God’s plan required Jesus to be rejected as Israel’s messiah king. Also, the plan required Jesus to be crucified by the Jews on a Roman cross as predicted in the sacred scriptures. Jesus was resurrected from the dead as prophesied. Lastly, God planned for Jesus to be accepted by the Gentiles as their Messiah and King. It was never God’s intention to save the Jews alone, but it was also His will to save the rest of the world too. Jesus was rejected as the Jewish king and became the Messiah or Savior of the Gentiles across the globe. Aren't you glad about that?
God’s program to save the whole world was a secret until Jesus came and revealed it. The Apostle Paul referred to God’s plan as “the mystery of the church.” So, what is the mystery? The mystery is Jesus did not come into the world just to redeem Israel. Through his death, burial and resurrection; Jesus became the Savior of the world. Jesus is the only name that can save you. (Acts 4:12)
This secret plan of redemption offers salvation by grace through faith Jesus Christ. While Israel is still God’s chosen people; Jesus and His Church is the focus of this new age of grace. God will refocus on Israel after the rapture of the church during the Tribulation period. Until then, God is now calling people out of the world, into the church through faith in Jesus.
In a nutshell, Jesus expanded the playing field when it comes to saving human souls. This was the divine secret plan all along: to save the world through God’s son Jesus Christ. Amen!
