“When the Judgment Day comes, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! In your name we spoke God’s message, by your name we drove out many demons and performed many miracles!’ Then I will say to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!”
Matthew 7:22-23
All prophecy in the Bible is about Jesus. John’s book of Revelation is just a particular focus on Jesus as the revelation of God. In fact, everything written in the Bible points to Him. Jesus is everything; the Word manifested! He embodies it, He fulfills it, and when He died on the cross, He sealed it. Hallelujah! The only way to The Father is through Him. Praise Him! Heads up, Jesus is everything.
Just like a professor is the head of a class, Jesus is the head over all creation. He has this all under control and He has the final say. Don’t let the devil fool you, true revelation can only come from Jesus. If you are not listening to Him, you’re getting your information from the wrong source. You are studying the wrong material. He is the one who advises the class and tells you what is going to be on the final exam. Not anyone else. Since Jesus is everything, you can trust His revelations and warnings. He gives us every opportunity to pass, with Him we cannot fail!
Questions: What are some warnings in the Bible that you take seriously? How can you use those warnings to your advantage? How much time do you spend, drawing close to Jesus?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we ask that you would help us to recognize that everything in Your Word is about your son, Jesus. Thank you for the salvation that is found in Him! Help us to trust and obey. In Jesus’ name, amen.
